About Northern Wolf Designs
A long road...
Northern Wolf began operations as Northern Wolf Wooden Designs in the latter half of 1999 with the vision of building cabinets and furniture. Its owner, Alan Wilcox, was jack-of-all-trades, being responsible for designing, manufacturing, advertising, bookkeeping, and even customer relations. However, the experiences in building a Web presence and maintaining the site from 2002 through present day translated well to the new direction Northern Wolf Designs has undertaken.
A series of events led to the new focus, building and maintaining Web sites, and acquiring professional skills and knowledge became a priority. As such, the business of woodworking was put on hold at least until Alan's degree is completed at Kaplan University. He has excelled at the coursework, successfully maintaining a 4.0/4.0 grade point average. He currently expects to graduate by June of 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology emphasizing Web Development.
Northern Wolf's current location has some advantages; There are a variety of wildlife subjects that will even occasionally pose long enough for a camera shot. Fall is always a favorite time, with leaves turning colors and those pesky mosquitoes finally quieting down. Perhaps it is the constant and dramatic change of seasons that truly make this an amazing place to live, work, and play.
Northern Wolf has acquired plenty of equipment to do Web design projects reliably and effectively. Utilizing a variety of computer operating systems, Internet browsers, and screen sizes, it helps assure your Web site is optimized to display correctly for more of your customers. Further, data is backed up using both removeable drives and RAID 1 mirroring configurations, providing added layers of protection against disasters such as fire or hardware failure.
